Kivvo+ Membership Terms
These terms apply when you subscribe to Kivvo+. They sit alongside our general Terms of Service, which continue to apply. If there's any conflict between these terms and the general Terms of Service, these terms take precedence for matters concerning Kivvo+.
The short version
Kivvo+ is an optional paid membership. It unlocks additional features on top of free Kivvo.
Kivvo+ is billed monthly or annually. You choose when you subscribe.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period.
Kivvo+ unlocks access to Kivvo Payouts (cashback) — but cashback eligibility is subject to additional conditions described in our Payouts Policy.
Prices are in NZD and include GST where applicable.
We can change prices with notice. Existing subscribers will be told in advance before any increase takes effect.
We can change what Kivvo+ includes. If a change materially reduces the value of your subscription, we'll tell you and give you the option to cancel.
What Kivvo+ is
Kivvo+ is a paid membership tier for Kivvo. It sits on top of the free version of Kivvo, which remains available to all users.
Kivvo+ unlocks access to additional features that are not available to free users. The current feature set is described on the Pricing page in your account and may include:
Access to Kivvo Payouts (cashback). Cashback eligibility is subject to additional conditions — see our Payouts Policy for details.
Additional features as they are introduced.
The exact set of features included in Kivvo+ may change over time. We'll tell you about changes that materially affect your subscription.
Subscription and billing
Plans
Kivvo+ is available on:
A monthly plan — billed once per month
An annual plan — billed once per year, offering a saving compared to monthly billing
Current prices are shown on the Pricing page in your account and on our website. Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable.
Automatic renewal
Kivvo+ subscriptions renew automatically. This means:
Monthly plans renew every month on the date you first subscribed (or the closest available date).
Annual plans renew every 12 months on the date you first subscribed (or the closest available date).
Your payment method is charged automatically on each renewal date.
Your subscription continues until you cancel.
By subscribing, you authorize Kivvo (through our payment provider) to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
Payment method
You can pay for Kivvo+ using a payment method supported by Kivvo. Your payment method is processed through our third-party payment provider. We don't store your full card details.
If your payment method expires, is cancelled, or is otherwise unavailable on a renewal date, we'll attempt to process the payment. If the payment fails, your subscription may be suspended and, if not resolved, cancelled. See "Failed payments" below.
Failed payments
If a Kivvo+ payment fails:
We'll attempt to contact you through the email address on your account or through an in-app notification.
You'll have a grace period (typically 3 days) to update your payment method before your subscription is paused.
If the payment remains unsuccessful after the grace period, your subscription will be paused, and Kivvo+ features will not be available to you until it's resolved.
If the subscription remains unpaid after a further period (typically 14 days), the subscription will be cancelled.
Failed Kivvo+ payments may affect your eligibility for Kivvo Payouts for that period. See our Payouts Policy for details.
Cancelling Kivvo+
You can cancel your Kivvo+ subscription at any time.
How to cancel
You can cancel through:
The Settings or Kivvo+ page in your account, or
A support ticket via the Support page
When cancellation takes effect
When you cancel:
Your subscription stops renewing immediately.
Your Kivvo+ features remain active until the end of the period you've already paid for (the current monthly or annual period).
After that period ends, your account reverts to the free tier.
You do not receive a refund for the unused portion of your current period, unless required by law or in exceptional circumstances at our discretion. See "Refunds" below.
Reactivating
If you cancel and later want to resubscribe, you can do so through the Pricing page. Features and pricing at the time of resubscription apply.
Refunds
Kivvo+ subscription payments are generally non-refundable for partial periods, because the service has been made available for the period you paid for.
There are exceptions:
Consumer guarantees. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy including a refund.
Billing errors. If you were charged in error, we'll refund the incorrect amount.
Exceptional circumstances. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund or credit in other circumstances where it's fair to do so.
To request a refund, submit a support ticket via the Support page. We'll look at every case in good faith.

Changes to Kivvo+ features
Kivvo+ features may change over time. We may add features, replace features, or remove features. When a change is material, we will:
Update our public information about what Kivvo+ includes.
Notify you in advance of the change where we reasonably can.
Where a change materially reduces the value of your subscription, give you the option to cancel without penalty and (where appropriate) receive a pro-rata refund.
We won't remove a core feature of Kivvo+ without giving you the opportunity to cancel.
Changes to Kivvo+ pricing
We may change the price of Kivvo+ at any time. When we do:
The new price applies to new subscriptions immediately.
The new price applies to existing subscriptions on their next renewal date.
We'll notify existing subscribers in advance of the price change, giving enough notice for you to decide whether to continue.
If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
We won't apply a price change retroactively. Promotional or discounted prices (if any) may be subject to their own terms.
Kivvo+ and Kivvo Payouts
Kivvo Payouts (cashback) is one of the features unlocked by Kivvo+. However:
Kivvo+ alone does not guarantee cashback. Cashback eligibility is subject to additional conditions described in our Payouts Policy, including minimum monthly contribution thresholds and the 6.5-week streak requirement.
Kivvo Payouts is a beta feature. Its mechanics, eligibility criteria, and cashback rates may change.
If Kivvo Payouts is discontinued, that doesn't automatically entitle you to a refund of your Kivvo+ subscription. However, we'll consider the impact on your subscription and act fairly.
Subscribe to Kivvo+ for the full feature set, not only for cashback eligibility.
What Kivvo+ is not
To be clear:
Kivvo+ is not a financial product. It is not an investment, a deposit, a savings scheme, or a financial service requiring registration as a financial product.
Kivvo+ is not a guarantee of returns. Cashback, where received, is a reward for consistent saving, not a return on an investment. It is not guaranteed.
Kivvo+ is not interest-bearing. We don't pay interest.
Kivvo+ is not transferable. Your subscription is personal to you and can't be sold, transferred, or gifted.
Your responsibilities
When you subscribe to Kivvo+, you agree to:
Provide accurate payment information and keep it up to date.
Pay subscription fees when they're due.
Use Kivvo+ in accordance with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with subscription controls or billing systems.
Not share your Kivvo+ access with others.
If you breach these terms, we may suspend or cancel your subscription in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate your Kivvo+ subscription if:
You breach these terms or our Terms of Service.
Your payment method fails and remains unresolved after our grace periods.
We're required to by law.
We discontinue Kivvo+ entirely.
If we discontinue Kivvo+ while your subscription is active, we'll give you notice and, where appropriate, provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current paid period.
If we suspend or terminate your subscription for breach, you're not entitled to a refund for the remainder of your paid period.
Tax
Kivvo+ subscription payments are subject to GST where applicable. GST is included in the displayed price.
Kivvo+ subscription fees are generally not deductible for individual users. If you subscribe through a business, deductibility depends on your circumstances and your accountant should advise.

Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Subscription and billing information is processed through our third-party payment provider in accordance with their terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Kivvo+ Membership Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
We'll update this page.
We'll notify existing subscribers where the change materially affects them.
Continued use of Kivvo+ after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription in accordance with these terms.
