Kivvo Payouts Policy
This page explains how Kivvo Payouts works: what it is, who can access it, how eligibility is determined, how cashback is calculated, and what happens when you qualify or don't. It is a clear description of a feature that is currently limited to a specific group of users.
The short version
Kivvo Payouts is a cashback feature for consistent savers. It rewards users who meet strict criteria with cashback credited to their Kivvo account.
Kivvo Payouts is not available to everyone. It is currently locked to users who meet all three of the following criteria:
Have an active Kivvo+ subscription,
Are contributing at or above our minimum monthly threshold, and
Have met their 6.5-week contribution streak for the payout period.
If any one of these is missing, Kivvo Payouts is not available for that period. You can still use Kivvo; the payout feature simply won't apply.
Cashback is credited to your Kivvo Saver pool or your goals, not paid out to a bank account automatically. Credited cashback is your money — it stays in your Kivvo account until you use it.
Kivvo doesn't hold your money to pay cashback. Cashback is credited from Kivvo's own fee revenue when you qualify.
You can see your eligibility and progress in your account on the Kivvo Payouts page.
This is a beta feature for a small, defined group of users. Eligibility criteria and mechanics may change. We'll update this policy and notify you if they do.
What Kivvo Payouts is
Kivvo Payouts is a cashback feature. When you qualify for a payout period, Kivvo credits a cashback amount to your Kivvo account — either into your Kivvo Saver pool, or into your goals, depending on your payout settings.
Cashback is calculated from the contribution fees Kivvo has earned from your contributions during the payout period, combined with any applicable cashback rate. It is not interest. It is not a return. It is a reward for consistent saving, funded from Kivvo's fee revenue.
In plain terms: You contribute on schedule, you keep your streak, you qualify, and Kivvo credits you back a share of the fees you've paid.
Who can access Kivvo Payouts
Kivvo Payouts is currently limited. It is not available to all Kivvo users. To be eligible for a payout period, you must meet all three of the following criteria:
1. Active Kivvo+ subscription
You must be an active Kivvo+ member for the entirety of the payout period. If your Kivvo+ subscription lapses, is cancelled, or fails to renew during the payout period, you will not be eligible for that period's payout.
2. Contributing at or above the minimum monthly threshold
You must be contributing at or above Kivvo's minimum monthly contribution threshold, which is set at $200 per month (or the equivalent for other schedules):
Weekly: $50 per week
Bi-weekly: $100 per fortnight
Monthly: $200 per month
These minimums are the same as the contribution minimums that apply to scheduled contributions across Kivvo. If your contributions are below these minimums, you are not eligible for Kivvo Payouts even if you have a Kivvo+ subscription.
3. Met your 6.5-week contribution streak
You must maintain your contribution streak for the entire payout period, which is 6.5 weeks for Kivvo+ members.
This means:
Every week in the payout period must have a qualifying contribution,
The contribution must meet your weekly target,
The contribution must be successfully processed (not failed, refunded, or reversed).
If any week in the period fails to meet this requirement, the streak is broken for that period and you will not receive a payout for that period.
How the payout period works
Kivvo Payouts operates on a rolling payout period. For Kivvo+ members, the payout period is 6.5 weeks.
The payout period starts when your contribution streak begins. It ends 6.5 weeks later. At the end of the period, Kivvo reviews your eligibility and, if you qualify, credits your cashback.
You can see:
When your current payout period started,
When it's due to end,
Your current streak status, and
Your progress toward the eligibility requirements
on the Kivvo Payouts page in your account.
How cashback is calculated
Cashback is calculated from the contribution fees Kivvo has earned from your qualifying contributions during the payout period, multiplied by the applicable cashback rate.
The cashback rate depends on your Kivvo plan:
Kivvo+ members: the current cashback rate applicable to Kivvo+ members
Cashback is not available to non-Kivvo+ users, or to Kivvo+ users who do not meet the minimum contribution threshold or the streak requirement
The cashback amount is credited to your account at the end of the payout period, subject to eligibility.
Cashback is calculated on contributions that were successfully processed. Contributions that failed, were refunded, or were reversed do not contribute to the cashback calculation for that period.
How cashback is credited
When you qualify for a payout period, cashback is credited to your Kivvo account. Depending on your payout settings, this may be:
Credited to your Kivvo Saver pool (default), where it remains as unallocated balance until you allocate it to goals, or
Allocated directly to your goals according to your payout distribution settings
Cashback is credited from Kivvo's own fee revenue. Kivvo does not hold your money in order to pay cashback. You're not waiting for Kivvo to release funds that belong to you. You've paid fees for the service, Kivvo has earned revenue from them, and Kivvo is crediting a portion back to you as a reward for consistent saving.
Once cashback is credited to your account, it becomes your money, held through the same arrangements as your other Kivvo funds.
When you don't qualify
If you don't meet all three eligibility criteria for a payout period, you will not receive a payout for that period. The reasons are recorded in your account.
The most common reasons are:
Kivvo+ lapsed or cancelled during the period
Contributions fell below the minimum threshold for one or more weeks
The streak was broken — a week passed without a qualifying contribution
A contribution failed, was refunded, or was reversed during the period
The account was dormant or inactive during the period
When a period closes without a payout, Kivvo records the outcome. You can see this on your Kivvo Payouts page.
Failing to qualify for one payout period does not disqualify you permanently. You can start a new streak and become eligible for future payout periods.
Cashback is currently in a limited rollout
Kivvo Payouts is currently available only to:
Users with an active Kivvo+ subscription,
Who are contributing at or above the minimum monthly threshold, and
Who maintain the 6.5-week contribution streak.
If you don't meet all three criteria, Kivvo Payouts is not available to you right now. This is intentional. We're running the feature with a small, defined group of users so we can test it carefully before expanding.
If and when Kivvo Payouts becomes available to a wider group of users, we'll update this policy and let you know.
Changes to eligibility, rates, or mechanics
Kivvo may change the eligibility criteria, the cashback rate, the payout period, the streak length, or the mechanics of Kivvo Payouts. When we do:
We'll update this page.
We'll notify you in advance of any change that affects your current eligibility or your current payout period.
We won't apply a change retroactively to a payout period that has already closed.
Because Kivvo Payouts is a beta feature, changes are more likely than for a stable feature. We'll be clear about them when they happen.
Disputes about a payout
If you believe a payout was calculated incorrectly, credited incorrectly, or wrongly denied, you can raise it through our Complaints Policy or by submitting a support ticket via the Support page.
We'll review your account records, the streak status, the qualifying contributions during the period, and the payout calculation. If we find an error, we'll correct it and credit any cashback that should have been credited.
Tax and record-keeping
Cashback credited to you may be treated as income for tax purposes. Kivvo does not withhold tax. You're responsible for meeting your own tax obligations on any income you receive through Kivvo.
You can download your contribution and payout history from the Data Requests area of your account, in CSV or PDF format, to support your own records.
For more information on how tax generally applies, see our Tax Information page.
